There is no footprint so small that it cannot leave an impact on this world.

Tiny Footprints YEG began in 2020 to support community resources for local individuals and families grieving pregnancy and infant loss. The inaugural Edmonton Annual Starry Night Gala took place in 2022 and has since raised $150,000 for local loss support programs.

In 2024, the Tiny Footprints Society of Edmonton became a formally registered non-profit organization in Alberta. We are working toward federally registered charity status. Thank you for being a part of this community and growing with us along the way!

Our History

Tiny Footprints was created in Calgary in 2016 by Kristina Oriold and Jen Woods, in honour of Riley Oriold. The annual fundraiser gala expanded to Edmonton in 2022.

In August 2024, we formally incorporated provincially as a non-profit organization. This was the first of many steps involved in qualifying for registered charity status, which we are continuing to work on. Stay tuned for updates as we grow!

Our Mission

Our mission is to increase awareness about pregnancy and infant loss, create a supportive community, and provide access to quality local support services.

Tiny Footprints hosts the annual Starry Night Gala every October, during Pregnancy and Loss Awareness Month, to raise funds for local resources and programs that support grieving families journeying through perinatal loss.

FAQ

  • As we are not yet a federally registered charity, we are not able to offer tax receipts at this time. Currently we are incorporated as a non-profit organization in the province of Alberta. Please stay tuned as we hope to achieve registered charity status in the near future! Thank you for your support along the way.
